Jason Harrison

Jason is the co-owner at Present Tense Fitness, where his interests in this work include borrowing broadly from disparate disciplines within strength and conditioning to apply best practices to both dance populations and general populations alike. He’s a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a United States Weightlifting Level One coach, and a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS), as well as a frequent presenter for IADMS. Susan Harrison

Susan is the co-owner of Present Tense Fitness, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a postpartum exercise expert, and the mind behind so much of the blended training work we do with dance populations, where we help artists get stronger, more explosive, and more athletic while simultaneously working around (and hopefully preventing or mitigating) the inevitable aches and pains that arise from moving the body at elite levels. Susan’s patience is magnified by her unfailingly steady demeanor and superhuman capacity for listening. She’s a member of International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) and you can follow her on Instagram here. Susan is based in New York City.

Callie Young

Callie trained at Present Tense as a client for many years before taking the plunge as a trainer and coach. She’s described her training interests as that between performance enhancement and injury prevention, which she contends are inextricably linked. Training hard *is* training smart, in other words, and we couldn’t agree more. Callie’s personal movement interests include endurance running, hiking, and biking. Clients have described Callie in terms that we’ve always known, which is that she’s simultaneously unshakable and gentle. She coaches in our Dayton studio.

Christina Machi

Christina is a kind-hearted soul whose calm demeanor she applies to athletes as a sports performance coach and as a personal trainer with general population clients to whom she enjoys introducing the true joy of strength and intentional movement. Christina holds a master’s degree in exercise science from Ohio State, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her as part of the team. When she’s not training with us at PTF, she’s working with high school athletes throughout the Miami Valley.
